Unlike other slider keepers, the MST extends via elastic webbing that is channeled inside nylon webbing, resulting in the best of both worlds. You get a compact package that remains out of the way when stowed, but when deployed it stretches up to 12" so you aren't pulling your arm out of your socket trying to trap your Slider.
